Does Your Horse Have a Salt Lick?

Does your horse have a salt lick in their stall? I've never really used one but after switching horses around to clean stalls I found mine going to town on the salt lick in the stall next door. Got me thinking maybe I should put one in...?

If he likes it then why not? Is there a risk to them taking too much salt from one like there is for people who have too much salt, and get sick from it?
