Classic Horse Stories

I found this book I want to get for a friend of mine. She grew up on the farm with all animals, and in her late teens got into breeding, and now does all the shows out west. Thought this would be a good gift, its only about 10.00 if you know someone that might enjoy it also. The book is called Classic Horse Stories.

When talking about classic horse stories I think you have to consider "Black Beauty" as well. There was a long series of books about this horse, some of which I owned as a child.

Wonderful, graceful horse it was when televised.

This reminds me that we got a book from my wifes grandfathers collection. It has a copyright of 1943 and it call "Blaze and the Gypsies" by C.W. Anderson. It is a child's book and has illustrations. I am beginning to think that this could be part of a collection of books about Blaze.

CrazyQueen: Can you by any chance provide a link where I could find out more, and possibly buy this book?

It sounds like something I would probably enjoy, but I would like to know more first if possible.

You might want to put your work together by type or something, but maybe add in The Headless Horsemen aka The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, since it is close to Halloween. Maybe you could get a few books together in a basket, like the kind people make for fruit and food, but with books instread. Also, add in Lady Godiva as she is a classic along with her horse.
