Better left alone

I wonder sometimes if certain horses maybe even breeds not sure here just guessing, are better to travel with other horses or better alone? Does anyone have any insight into this?

I wouldn't know honestly as we have only ever travelled one horse at a time, as we only have one horse. They do just fine on shorter journeys, especially when we just get it over with rather than stopping every hour (though of course this doesn't count when taking longer journeys as we do then stop).

Every animal is its own case. Just as some horses regardless of breed are good with kids, some horses would doubtless travel better, even before training and conditioning. While they may not be used to traveling initially I can only imagine that if you travel with them alot they most likely get better over time.

It depends on how you raised the horse or even somethings it just depends on the attitude of the horse on traveling. I guess horses are like humans too, some like to travel alone and some like to have company when traveling.

in my limited experience it is individual personality that counts when it comes to these things. Just like humans, you can see young horses exhibiting preference for companionship, riders, etc.

A friend of mine has a horse and always tells me that he is as stubborn as a mule I just wondered since this horse has traveled a good deal but still always just ends up hating it.
