Behavior

Are some breeds just a little more patient than others are? What about those that are prone to behavioural issues, like for example pit bulls for the dogs. Would that be the same for a breed of a certain horse?

The 'hot blooded' breeds ar regarded as being more flighty and tempermental, but you don't really notice such things the same way as with the dog breeds because of expense. It's a lot easier to get a dog than a horse, and the sorts of owners that give bully breeds a bad name often have a hard time getting the finances together to have a horse.

I can't say I agree with pit bulls being behaviorally challenged for a dog breed, and I don't think any horse breed is behaviorally challeneged either. I can't repeat enough (apparently) that its not the breed its the horse and their unique mixture of environment, training, talent and genetics that makes each horse the way they are. Arabs may be "known" to be hot blooded but that doesn't mean that they are all that way. In fact I've known many Arabs who were safe to be ridden by children many stemming from well trained and developed bloodlines.
