Hi All,
my name is Chris and I'm currently living in Germany. Probably not the last station in my life , who knows!Got to this board through the sister site "reitforum.de" and cause I don't like to let my English grammar go down the ditch, I thought, I'm better off, mixing right in .Anyhow, am owning and working with horses all my life; now I call a 4 yrs old Oldenburger WB my dream male part of our family; after doing jumping & eventing am now since some years into serious dressage work w/o showing, a bit saver in my age .Well, am anxious to get to know you all and have some fun. |

My hometown is Baltimore, I still think some parts of it have gone to crap in the past ten years though, but I can say that since I'm from there.
Welcome to the site, I hope you are able to learn abit and share abit as well, seeing as you have lived in many places, maybe you could shed some light about Equine around the world. ![]() |

Hi Alexis, thanks for the welcome! I never visited Baltimore, wished I could have seen lots more places
. Did you ever visit the "old" continent?Well, I think in most states it is pretty much the same; happy horse people or even nutcases one finds all over . I do think, the latter are more often to meet in Germany. I still feel like a stranger in my own country, specially in regards to horses. So many people think they have eaten the wisdom by spoon, one guru after the other is emerging and the world runs to him/her. The old and approved is getting boring and no good anymore, so it seems. One major think though I learned in the states _ that a western saddle is lots better for riding a green horse due to the different weight distributing ![]() |
