About To Be A New Horse Owner

Hi. My husbands brother and sister-in-law are moving away in less than one month. They plan on giving my 16 year old son one of their horses. We've all ridden them often at their place, but we've never actually owned a horse before.

I'm really glad a friend directed me to this forum. I'm sure we'll have plenty of questions and I'm hoping to find plenty of answers here.

Yeah I hope so for you too - and any other new horse owner / potential owner. I never knew there were that many more responsibilities compared to a "regular" common pet.

I'm a rookie myself, but I plan on looking for some answers around here too.
