67yr Old Japanese Equestrian to Compete in 2008 Olympic Games
Hiroshi Hoketsu has also competed in the 1964 games, as well as being an alternate at the 1984 games. He is not however the oldest person to compete. That title is held by a Swede who competed at 72. However if Hoketsu competes in the 2016 Olympics he will be 75 and would break the record. His horses name is Whisper.

Just you wait, someday we'll see somebody over 100 competing in the Olympics!
You may think i'm just kidding around right now, but just you wait!  Anyway, I wish Mr. Hoketsu and Whipser the best of luck in the Olympic games! |

This is amazing! I am kind of shocked that someone of that age is able to manage that, but inspired too. I would love to think that I would be that physically capable at that age, but somehow I don't see it happening!
