Horses become part of a herd and every horse has a place in the herd. When you take a horse to a new place with other horses you need to give the horses time to work out that order. When I move a horse, I make sure the new horse is separated by a fence. The horses can then begin to figure out the herd order again without getting into fights.

My experience with moving horses has been that the horse will call out to the old herd for awhile. At the new place they will be worried, until the find their place in the new herd.
What do you mean by moving them? Do you mean like, you separate a certain horse / horses from one herd to another total location?
